Andrew needed a logo for his private therapy practice. He knew he wanted nature to be a key element but left the rest to my discretion. As an avid outdoorsman, he shared a memorable hiking experience in the Olympic Mountain Range on the Washington Peninsula, which became the foundation for the design.
To illustrate the logo I had in mind, the challenge was to incorporate the hike’s topographic map while capturing the elements he described, such as the morning sunrise.
By tracing the elevation lines, I looked closely at their natural movement and shapes, allowing me to create organic forms that reflect the landscape’s contours and the fluidity of the lakes in the basin to create the final logo.
This approach resulted in a logo that not only represents nature but also embodies reflection and growth—mirroring the journey of self-discovery and healing he guides his clients through in therapy.
